  • Pioneer have unveiled the latest model in their DJM mixer series, the 2000nexus. The DJM-2000nexus serves as an updated version of the DJM-2000, and naturally comes with a raft of new features and developments. In a similar vein to the recently announced CDJ-2000nexus, the DJM-2000nexus will allow users to link up multiple CDJs via ProDJ Link LAN connections. A single SD card, USB device or instance of Pioneer's rekordbox software can then be be shared among players, while the new Sync Master feature lets DJs set and control a master BPM from the mixer. The DJM-2000nexus retains the DJM-2000's 5.8-inch LCD multi-touch screen. This centre panel is where features such as Beat Slice, Sync Master and Live Sampler are housed. There are also three "performance modes" to chose from, featuring Frequency Mix, Side Chaining Remix and MIDI mode. Beat Effects and Inst FX are carried over from the 2000nexus's predecessor as well. The 2000nexus also includes a newly developed peak limiter. The introductory video below shows the new mixer in action (in typically breakneck fashion).
Pioneer will release the DJM-2000nexus in November 2012 at a suggested retail price of 2,299 Euro.
