The ambient duo will release their second album on December 4th.
Gunshae is the collaborative project between Vancouver-based producer and DJ Kuma, and his classically-trained Cancun counterpart, Lady Eve. The self-described "Cascadian lullaby makers" have been making music together as Gunshae since 2004. The project is a live-oriented take on ambient that incorporates woodwind instruments from Eve and loops from Kuma. Out of Darkness, Light, their third full-length effort, will come through Brooklyn experimental label Ohm Resistance, and is based loosely on live performances by the duo over the past four years. Australian poet Graham Colin makes an appearance on "Air Into Gold," and Tokyo synth musician Hataken plays on "Celestial, Yet Oceanic." The album also features guest appearances from clarinetist Shawn Earle, Harpist Vanessa Stovall and Hong Kong bassist and vocalist Para Kishi.
