  • This year's Inti Festival will take place in Peru on February 13th. The event, now in its fourth year, will be held at Asia Beach near Lima. Subtitled "Dance For The Planet," proceedings will again have a distinctly ecological theme. This year, Inti Festival will seek to educate revellers on important global issues through its "eco art projects." The festival site will also feature various initiatives surrounding recycling and environmentally-conscious art, and lectures from indigenous Shipibo people about "living in harmony with our planet." Inti's unusual emphasis on recycling was the subject of an RA feature last year. This year's lineup is a solid mix of local Peruvian artists and international headliners, mostly landing in the realm of techno and house. Among the bigger names booked are Lee Burridge, Jay Haze, Josh Wink and Droog. Cadenza artists Reboot, Cesar Merveille and Maayan Nidam are also billed, along with Circus Company's Masomenos and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts, with proceedings running from 1:00 PM on February 13th through to 6:00 AM the next morning.
