  • 1-800-Dinosaur will launch a new label in late April. Dinosaur originally started as a series of afterparties for James Blake's American tour shows in 2011. Last year it became a regular night at Plastic People, helmed by former R&S man Dan Foat, London producer Airhead, Klaus, James Blake and his live band drummer Mr. Assister. The group wanted the 1-800-Dinosaur parties to focus on garage, dubstep and house equally, and the mixes on their SoundCloud page give a pretty good idea of what kind of music you'd hear at one. According to an interview with Juno Plus, later this month Foat will turn the brand into an imprint as well. The first release will land as a two-tracker from James Blake, including a dub version of a song from his upcoming second album Overgrown. There is no word on future releases for the imprint, though Foat has said that it will be the new home for Blake's non-album material. Tracklist A. Voyeur (Dub) B. And Holy Ghost 1-800 Dinosaur will release "Voyeur (Dub)" / "And Holy Ghost" in late April 2013.
