- The trio's collaborative album will be released in June.
An album recorded by Martin Dawson and Catz 'N Dogz will be released on June 3rd.
The collaboration comes shortly after the sudden passing of Two Armadillos member Dawson in November of last year. The album was written and recorded with the Polish duo of Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Voitek Tarañczuk, AKA Catz 'N Dogz, who say they "connected instantly" with the UK producer upon their meeting. Heavy on the vocal spots, Untitled features collaborations with Ben Westbeech, Glimpse, Paul Randolph and plenty of others. The tracks have the same strong sense of melody that all three members have shown in the past, with Dawson's guitar playing present throughout the album as well.
Tarañczuk had this to say about the project: "This whole world, an unexplored territory, had opened up to us; one that seemed, on one hand, ultimately familiar, and on the other, totally new... Working on this project became addictive, and for those few months we put everything else on hold (even giving up writing our solo albums and EPs) because being in this small studio, together, meant the world to us.”
The LP will be released for free download via Pets Recordings, the imprint that Catz 'N Dogz set up back in 2010.
