  • Bridges For Music will hold a talk and screening at Sónar in June, making up part of the festival's Sónar+D programme. BFM is a non-profit organisation supporting responsible development of electronic music in emerging areas. It officially launched in February 2013 in South Africa, with ambassadors Richie Hawtin, Luciano and Skrillex hosting a series of workshops, talks and concerts in the townships of Cape Town and Johannesburg (the location for one of our recent Real Scenes documentaries.) The trio will gather alongside project director Valentino Barrioseta in Barcelona on Friday, June 14th, for a talk and screening. The event, which will take place at Palau de Congresos de Catalunya at 4 PM, will feature a short documentary trailer about the project, a discussion about current and future plans for the organization and feedback from the ambassadors about their experiences in South Africa.
