Four Tet billed for Laneway Festival 2014

- Four Tet has been announced as part of the first lineup for St Jerome's Laneway Festival 2014. The festival has continued to grow rapidly since it began nine years ago in a small Melbourne lane. On top of the addition of Auckland and Singapore legs in past years, 2013 marked the brand's first event in the US, with Detroit hosting the likes of Matthew Dear and Sigur Ross a fortnight ago. Along with the usual indie presence, 2014's festival tour will see Four Tet leading the electronic contingent at a time which should follow the release of his forthcoming LP, Beautiful Rewind, due out later this year. Also on the bill are London duo Mount Kimbie, Jamie xx, Cashmere Cat, XXYYXX and local Future Classic signing Jagwar Ma. The five-city Australian tour begins at Brisbane's RNA Showgrounds on January 31st, followed by a stop at Footscray Community Arts Centre in Melbourne on February 1st and the Sydney College of the Arts on Sunday the 2nd. Adelaide and Perth will both be relocated to new venues, with the former taking place at Hart's Mill on February 7th and the latter moving to Esplanade Park in Freemantle on the 8th.
