  • Steven Warwick, AKA Heatsick, will release a new album on Bill Kouligas's PAN label in November. This being PAN, Re-Engineering is more than a collection of tunes: a press release likens the record to Chris Morris in its dark and satirical take on modern life, while Warwick himself describes it as a collection of "cybernetic poems." There are spoken word lyrics on a few tracks (the title track contains the line "Modern life is still rubbish you say. Modern rubbish is still life."), while Malcolm McLaren's 1994 album Paris is cited as another touchstone. Warwick first arrived on PAN with the Intersex album in 2011. He followed with the Déviation EP in May 2012, and his breezy Casiotone sounds offered an accessible window into Bill Kouligas's experimental label. A string of live dates are locked in to coincide with the album's release—he'll be playing live across Australia and New Zealand in November, before heading to Rio de Janeiro for the Novas Frequencias festival at the end of that month. Tracklist 01. Re-Engineering 02. E-Scape 03. Mimosa 04. Watermark 05. Clear Chanel 06. U1 07. Speculative 08. Après Moi, Le Déluge! 09. Dial Again 10. Emerge 11. Accelerationista PAN will release Re-Engineering on November 29th, 2013.
