- The Dublin imprint's next release is a four-track, four-artist pack of reworks for Birken's "Acid Youth Of Malibu."
Earwiggle, the Dublin label run by Sunil Sharpe, has revealed details for its next two releases, including a remixes record for veteran producer Paul Birken's track "Acid Youth Of Malibu."
Birken's original—a cut of raucous, acidic techno, as the name implied—saw release on Earwiggle in late 2012, and drew support from artists like Blawan, Bas Mooy and Truss. Those three have all been recruited for remixes (the first appearance on the label for each), and rounding out the four-tracker is a new version from Birken himself. It'll come out at the end of March.
Earwiggle head Sharpe says 2014 "is gonna be a busier year for the label," and its next record has also been confirmed. Coming from London trio The 15 Dead Minutes, the EP is called Purging The Pious, and it's described simply as "chaotic acid." There's no release date for that one yet, but it will drop soon after Acid Youth Of Malibu Remixes.
