  • A third person has died following a car crash in the heart of this year's SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Sandy Le, a 26-year-old Austin resident, was one of 23 who was injured when 21-year-old Rashad Owens allegedly drove drunk into a crowd outside a show early last Thursday morning. (Owens has been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault.) Two others—Steven Craenmehr, 35, from Amsterdam, and Jamie West, 27, an Austin local—died last week, and six others are still in the hospital following the accident. SXSW and the Austin Community Foundation have teamed up to start a fund to aid victims of the tragedy. You can make a donation here.
