  • The Knife have announced plans to write music for a new cabaret called Europa Europa. The duo of Karin Dreijer and Olof Dreijer are working with art group Ful on the project, Pitchfork report. The Knife's website says the "anti national cabaret" delves into "Sweden and EU's migration politics, while Europa Europa's website says the project is partner of a wider movement "where people are trying to highlight the human rights abuses that Sweden and the EU commits every day through the common asylum and migration policy." It begins on Tuesday, July 1st in Visby, Sweden, with more dates to be announced soon. Europa Europa was written and directed by Nasim Aghili and features The Knife (listed as the house band) alongside Bahareh Razekh Ahmadi, Maya Hald, Ellen Nyman and Rani Nair.
