- The Athens-based duo will issue an album on JD Twitch's label in July.
Optimo Music has announced details of an LP called Like Cannibal Father Like Cannibal Son by Greek duo Felizol & The Boy.
Overseen by JD Twitch, Optimo Music has adopted an intrepid A&R approach, putting out records from the likes of Factory Floor, Peter Gordon, Chris & Cosey and Golden Teacher. Twitch also launched the Optimo Trax label back in 2013, which has served as an outlet for more club-focused fare.
Now details have emerged of a full-length from Felizol & The Boy, AKA Yiannis Veslemes and Alexandros Voulgaris. The Athens-based duo have composed music for feature films, and, according to Optimo, "they use analog synthesizers, drum machines and acoustic instruments to perform live in house clubs, heavy metal dungeons and hippie-friendly festivals." They've put out a few records together before, including a 2010 effort called O.H.I.O/She Is My Party She Is My Port, which came backed by a remix from Gavin Russom, as well as a sprinkling of solo material (Veslemes as Felizol, Voulgaris as The Boy).
