  • John Talabot and Axel Boman's collaborative Talaboman project will release its debut EP, Sideral, on August 11th. The record is a joint venture between the two artists' respective labels: Hivern Discs and Studio Barnhus. It features one original cut, "Sideral," which first appeared on Talabot's lauded DJ-Kicks mix in 2013. That mix was the first sighting of Talaboman: since then the pair have DJ'd together under the name, including a slot at RA's party in Barcelona earlier this month. The track has also been remixed by Cologne producer Matt Karmil, who has already chalked up appearances on PNN and Beats In Space Records this year (including his debut album.) Sideral is dedicated to Aleix "Sideral" Vergés, a popular DJ in Barcelona's underground circle who died in 2006. "A truly fearless and idiosyncratic DJ, Sideral mixed genres wildly and brilliantly, uniting in the dance people from all kinds of musical backgrounds," accompanying notes for the record say. "At a time when few DJs dared cross musical borders, he was a real inspiration for both the Barca native Talabot and the young Swede Boman, who lived in the city during the peak of Sideral's reign." The vinyl version will land on August 11th, with the digital release following on August 25th. Tracklist 01. Sideral 02. Sideral (Matt Karmil Remix) Studio Barnhus and Hivern Discs will release Sideral on August 11th, 2014.
