Arca announces fall tour with Total Freedom and Jesse Kanda

- The September sojourn down the West Coast will feature Kanda on visuals and back-to-back DJ sets.
- Arca has announced his next tour—a trip along the West Coast in September with Total Freedom and Jesse Kanda in tow. The enigmatic producer, famed for his abstract and heavily-manipulated take on hip-hop (notably scooped by Kanye West for his Yeezus album), has become almost as well-known for his DJ sets with frequent partner Jesse Kanda on visuals. His latest spate of gigs will see him take Kanda on the road along with Fade To Mind DJ Total Freedom, with an emphasis on visiting unconventional venues like churches and museums. Total Freedom will play before Arca each night, and then the shows will conclude with a back-to-back set between the two jockeys over four CDJs. The tour will start on September 18th with an appearance in Portland for PICA's Time-Based Art Festival, followed by a night at New Forms in Vancouver on the 20th (though it's still unknown if Total Freedom is set to appear at the latter). From there, the trio will head down to San Francisco on the 23rd to play the Grey Area Foundation's Art & Technology Theatre, then back up to Seattle for a Decibel showcase on the 24th, before finally finishing up at LA's First Unitarian Church on the 25th.
