  • A three-hour Hieroglyphic Being DJ set, recorded live at a Manchester warehouse in April 2014, is being released on cassette. The mix's tongue-in-cheek subtitle, The Worst DJ Ever, was inspired by a small group of heckling fans who attended the gig, which marked Jamal Moss's third appearance at Faktion. According to Boomkat, "a contingent of beaked-up kids couldn't handle his cosmicness and proceeded to harangue him with text messages shown on their phones reading 'you are the worst DJ ever.'" Reel Torque have taken the mix and presented it as a double-cassette release limited to 100 copies. It's the fifth instalment in the label's tape series: Moss has mixed two previous editions, while Slackk and Delroy Edwards have also contributed. There's no tracklist, but Boomkat promise three hours of "free to fusion jazz via industrial zingers, classic techno, The Smiths, and of course a fxxkload of lewd Chicago jams." Reel Torque released The Worst DJ Ever: Reel Torque Volume 5 on July 31st, 2014.
