  • Charles Cohen is set to tour Japan for the first time next month. The American synth musician came into the spotlight about 12 months ago when three album's worth of his material, recorded between 1976 and 1989, were released on Morphine Records by label boss Rabih Beaini. Cohen has since returned to live performance, playing his rare and unusual Buchla Music Easel, which has been at the core of his craft since the late '70s, at shows in Austria, Belgium and the UK. His Japan visit will consist of three dates, with Beaini joining him as Morphosis. Cohen will first play at Conpass in Osaka on September 4th, then on the 5th he will perform at Mago in Nagoya where DJ Nobu will be on support. On Saturday the 6th, Nobu will host a Future Terror show at Unit in Tokyo which will also feature other residents Twin Peaks, Haruka and Kurusu as well as Drone organiser Wata Igarashi.
