- The South African house producer will drop an album on Lit City Trax in September.
DJ Spoko will release War God on September 23rd.
With his own brand of dance music self-styled "Bacardi house," Marvin Ramalepe is a veteran of the South African house scene, having worked with Shangaan man Nozinja in the early 2000s. He also had a hand in producing DJ Mujava's "Township Funk," one of the country's enduring hits of the last decade.
Last year, Ramalepe had his most prominent solo release yet with the Ghost Town EP on True Panther, and now he's following it up with a full-length on New York imprint Lit City Trax. The label promises that the 20-track War God is DJ Spoko's definitive work, and one that "crowns him King of the Bacardi House sound." It features a collaboration with DJ Mujava.
