- The EP, set for release through Sleeperhold Publications, features three tracks from the Work (Work Work) era.
HTRK have just released an EP on Belgian label Sleeperhold Publications.
Due out today (December 12th), Body Lotion arrives nine months on from Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang's latest album, the RA Recommended Psychic 9-5 Club. The music on Body Lotion dates back to the recording sessions that led to "Slo Glo," a track from HTRK's 2011 album, Work (Work Work). Two of the songs feature the basslines of former band member Sean Stewart, who died before Work (Work Work) was released.
All three tracks appear on the A-side; engulfing the B-side is an etching by London-based artist David Ferrando Giraut, who also designed the record's sleeve. (He's worked with HTRK before: Jonnine has narrated and appeared in some of his films, while Nigel has provided the music.)
Body Lotion is being released by Sleeperhold Publications, a Belgian arts project whose output to date has included music, short stories, a photobook, a poster set and a deck of cards. Sleeperhold is currently in the midst of a run of ten vinyl releases—HTRK's EP follows previous titles from Tropic Of Cancer, Moon Duo, Croatian Amor and Disappears.
