  • Moog has announced it will restart production on a few of its most famous large-scale modular synthesizers. The idea was birthed during last year's Moogfest, when the Asheville-based company released a reproduction of Keith Emerson's 1970s custom-made Emerson Moog Modular System, or EMMS. Now, with the same techniques in mind, Moog will remake three models from its '70s heyday using the original schematics as well as the original hand-soldering methods from their original 1973 run. The System 35 (pictured) will come in at 35 units, System 55 in an edition of 55 and the Model 15 at a more robust 150.
