The DJ will play two fundraising shows in South Africa next month, with all the proceeds going to the non-profit organisation.
Bridges For Music is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness about music in underprivileged areas. Richie Hawtin, Boys Noize and Luciano have all previously lent a hand to the cause, which will host Dice across February 6th, 7th and 8th. The German will play two fundraising shows, both in Johannesburg. On Saturday the 7th he headlines Truth alongside local favourites Culoe De Song and Ryan Murgatroyd, before joining ORIGINS star Black Coffee and DJ Shimza at Zone 6 in the heart of the Soweto township on Sunday the 8th.
100% of the proceeds from the two shows will go to Bridges For Music. Dice will also lead two workshops while he's there: the first, on Friday the 6th, will take place in Cape Town's Gugulethu township from 3 PM through 6 PM, with the second running at SKY Youth Centre in Kliptown, Soweto for two hours from 2 PM. The aim of these workshops "is to create a cultural exchange between an international artist and the local producers." After his Cape Town workshop, Dice will perform at Cape Town Electronic Music Festival alongside the likes of Four Tet, Anja Schneider and Slugabed.
Bridges For Music is currently raising money to build a music and multimedia school in Langa, which RA supported last year with a cycle from London to Amsterdam. BFM has more events in the pipeline, including a Tale Of Us tour and Breathe Sunshine Unity Jam Festival. Details will be revealed at a later date. In the meantime, if you can't make it to see Loco Dice but still want to donate, you can do so here.
Tickets to both fundraisers are available here on RA.
