  • BFI Southbank has teamed up with MUTEK and Elektra to bring Digital Québec to London, taking place on March 12th and 13th. As part of its Sonic Cinema series, the riverside venue will host two nights of performances from French Canadian audiovisual artists. Eight artists will feature in total—four per night—and in each case it'll be the first time they've presented their work in the UK. The pieces vary in length and theme, ranging from films inspired by the work of landscape painter J.M Turner (Yan Breuleux's Templates) to a 30-minute "sonic and visual assault" designed to "destabilise the senses" (Maotik & Metametric's Omnis). For more info on the performances, as well as a full rundown of artists, set times and ticket prices, head to the BFI's Digital Québec page. Tickets go on general sale on February 10th at 11:30 AM GMT.
