  • Rabit and Young Male are set to headline Threshold at Jewel's Catch One this Saturday. Though he's a long way from London, the Houston producer Rabit has managed to form a meaningful connection with the modern grime scene. His 2013 track "Black Dragons" was the outsider's first warning shot, and he's since gone on to work with Tri Angle on his just-released Baptizm EP. Tempe, AZ experimental collective Ascetic House has become a fixture within LA's outré electronic community, with flagship act Marshstepper popping up on Mount Analog-produced bills and forming a devoted LA following. Ascetic Housers JS Aurelius and Mary Davidson continue to serve as the resident DJs at Threshold, while White Material hardware techno artist Young Male will play live. The Threshold gigs also typically feature a number of emerging, noisy live acts, and this time around, Rule Of Thirds, Austin group SSLEEPERHOLD, Glochids and Sandoval round out the lineup with bracing live sets.
