RA announced last month that Slam was next in line for the highly regarded Fabric CD series. The full information about the release is now available and DMC and Fabric announced that Fabric 09, mixed by Slam, will be in stores on March 10. Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle aka Slam, are synonymous awith Glasgow’s underground house and techno scene and their sound-searching record label, Soma.
Slam has a legion of fans from their distinctive own productions and mix compilations. Their mix CD "Past Lesson/Future Theories" released by Distinctive Breaks/DMC two years ago is still regarded by tek-house fans as a 'classic'. The duo will be in Australia to perform a DJ set in Sydney and Melbourne. They're also a last minute addition to the Brisbane and Perth Two Tribes line-up. Catch their set for a preview of the sound of Fabric 09.
