- Detroit and New York will go head to head in Brooklyn because "the parents are out of town."
- Jay Daniel and Galcher Lustwerk will DJ the opening of a "massive wood shop" on Saturday, May 16th. It's presented by Brooklyn promoters The Level, who will christen their new space in central Brooklyn with an event that goes "back to the roots, where many first learned how to get down in the great American way—the house party," organizers say. The lineup features Detroit young gun Jay Daniel—profiled here by RA's Kristan Caryl—and White Material favorite Galcher Lustwerk, who recently appeared on the latest Adult Swim compilation released in partnership with Ghostly International. The Level promise "food, beverage, games, and art everywhere," as well as a sound system provided by the Brooklyn-based Soundhouse. Listen to Lustwerk's "In The Place," from Ghostly Swim 2, below.
