Traxx will play the next edition of the We Are Monsters party at Monarch on June 5th.
Traxx, AKA Melvin Oliphant lll, has been splitting his time between Europe and his native Chicago as of late. He recently announced the third edition of , a 25-track box set containing unreleased material from JTC, D'Marc Cantu and Beau Wanzer set for release on his Nation label. We Are Monsters is organized by San Francisco jock Mozhgan. She serves as a resident alongside recent RA Podcast star Solar and Jason Greer. The event seeks to combine "elements of cosmic disco, cold wave, minimal synth, post-punk, rock, industrial and EBM with house and techno," a mission that fits with Oliphant's unconventional DJ style.
