The industrial supergroup will release their second LP through Bureau B next week.
The german supergroup of sorts—featuring Einstürzende Neubauten's Jochen Arbeit, Project Pitchfork's Achim Färber and Georg Zeitblom—released their first and self-titled LP back in 2013. That one featured collaborations with heavyweights like Lydia Lunch, Blixa Bargeld and Genesis P-Orridge, and in the meantime they've worked with Max Loderbauer and Schneider TM. PLUSMINUS, the "denser and more unflinching" new record, was a much more spontaneous affair, recorded in three days in early January. The album's tracks are named after machines or effects that were used in their making, and the label mentions dub reggae and Terrence Dixon as prominent influences, as well as jazz. As with all Automat's releases, PLUSMINUS will come via German label Bureau B. You can watch a video for the title track below.
