  • Massive Attack has announced they will be going ahead with the originally planned tour dates, with only the New Zealand tour dates undergoing change. As RA detailed yesterday the group had been forced to postpone the first leg of their New Zealand and Australian tour due to recent child pornography allegations against band member Robert Del-Naja, however in an official statement released last night they have announced the tour will go ahead as originally planned with only the Auckland and Wellington dates change until late March.
”Following yesterday’s news that Massive Attack had been forced to postpone the first leg of their world tour in New Zealand, because Robert Del Naja wanted to clear his name of child porn allegations, an official statement has since been issued stating that that the tour will go ahead, and that the New Zealand shows have been re-scheduled for the end of March. The statement read… "Massive Attack have rescheduled their shows in New Zealand. The new dates are Wellington 29th March and Auckland 30th. All tickets are valid and the change of dates will be communicated locally today or tomorrow. The band want to fulfill their commitments to their fans in New Zealand as well as those in Australia and therefore the tour is going ahead as planned from next week starting in Melbourne. The rest of the band’s tour in Japan and Europe remains unchanged. Robert Del Naja continues to deny allegations made recently and is hoping for a swift and positive resolution"
The new tour dates are as follows: Massive Attack Australia & NZ tour dates Melbourne – Tuesday March 11 : Rod Laver Arena Sydney – Friday March 14 : Entertainment Centre Brisbane - Sunday March 16 : Convention Centre Canberra - Tuesday March 18 : Royal Theatre Adelaide - Thursday March 20 : Entertainment Centre Perth, Saturday March 22 : Belvoir Amphitheatre Wellington – Saturday March 29 Auckland – March 30
