  • For the second year in a row, ‘Diesel-U-Music’ will be part of the Winter Music Conference, one of the world’s leading electronic music events. From March 18 to 23, the world’s most influential record labels, DJs, promoters, club owners and other vanguards of the music industry will converge on South Beach, Miami. Now into its 18th annual edition, the happening gathers over 7,000 music professionals from all over the world. On March 21, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, at the Sagamore Hotel (1674 Collins Avenue), Diesel will host a live music show. Partnering with The Fader magazine, ‘Diesel-U-Music’ will present the performances of Metro Area Live PA, DJ Spinna and DJ Language. A dedicate area of the venue will distribute information on the 2003 edition of the project. In addition, the happening will showcase artworks by Heavyweight Art Installation , a live art troop whose two original visuals will embody a creative message of ‘Diesel-U-Music’. Originating in London in 2001, the contest has been already two years in the running in the UK and in Italy, and in 2003 the competition lands at USA, Benelux and Switzerland, to infuse new life the music music scene by supporting unseen, unsung, unsigned talents. ‘Diesel-U-Music’ encourages the next generation to come out of their bedrooms and garages and express their musical abilities across four different territories: rock, dance, electronic and urban. With the support of an international network of independent underground record labels and magazines. Diesel promotes creativity in music and offers aspiring DJs, bands and producers an alternative stage to be heard and recognised. Artists will be judged by participating partners to compete for real opportunities within the music industry. The result is an alternate route into the music arena.
