- The Slovakian artist's 2013 full-length will get its first vinyl release in October.
Lobster Theremin will give Imre Kiss's Midnight Wave its first vinyl release on October 16th.
Midnight Wave originally surfaced as a cassette-only release on Farbwechsel back in 2013. The following year the Slovakian producer signed to Lobster Theremin with the Raw Energy EP. Now the label run by Jimmy Asquith will give Midnight Wave a release on vinyl and digital formats.
"I always loved the sound and look of vintage synths, so while I was working in London I eventually decided to buy one," says Imre. "I was working in a gift shop at that time and I wasn't very happy with my life. After saving up some money I was buying more synths and I started to experiment with them and recorded everything using a tape deck. I didn't really know what I was doing as I never really had any musical training before. Most of the tracks were recorded straight onto tape and are first live takes. I recorded them between 2012 and 2013 in my tiny room in Bethnal Green."
