  • Discogs will release a mobile app to complement its website in the first quarter of 2016. The site has developed into an exhaustive database and marketplace for physical music, allowing users to catalogue their entire collections. The Vinyl Factory report the new app will allow record shoppers to access their collections, check market prices, modify wantlists and search the massive database while on-the-go. Several existing applications have worked towards similar ends, including MilkCrate for iOS and Discollector, which is compatible with Android. Vinyl Factory says the Discogs app doesn't appear to allow messaging or purchasing, which will still need to be done via the website. Discogs will launch the app in the first quarter of 2016.
