  • A new festival called Manana will launch in Cuba in 2016. One of the key aims of the non-profit festival is to "preserve and develop both Afro-Cuban and electronic music" in Cuba. So far a few details have been revealed. The event is due to run from May 4th through 6th in Santiago de Cuba, the country's second biggest city. Mala, who recorded an album in Cuba a few years back, is confirmed to perform, with Puerto Rican electronic rumba act Grupo ÌFÉ, Cuban drummer Galis and the Sofrito DJs among the other acts locked in. London promoter The Hydra and arts production and management company No-Nation are on board too. You can find out more about the project and contribute to the Kickstarter campaign here.
