- Life, also the first full-length for Bas Mooy's label, will arrive next month.
Mord has revealed full details for French techno artist UVB's debut album, Life.
Life is the fourth solo release for the Berlin-based Sébastien Michel, a rising DJ and producer who we profiled earlier this year. It marks both his return to Mord and the first full-length for Bas Mooy's label, which in 2014 issued his first two EPs, What I've Learned and Second Life (the latter also serving as Mord's first double-pack). In the meantime, Michel appeared with another record, Meteorit, on the young label Fracture. He's also been increasingly busy on the gigs front, becoming a regular at Mord showcases.
Bas Mooy says that after selecting material for Second Life, he gave Michel "carte blanche" to put together his own concept album. The 14-track LP will come on triple-vinyl, CD and digital formats. Mord will have a busy end to 2015: along with this album from UVB, the label is also gearing up to release Herdersmat Part 1-7, a 7x12-inch compilation, in December.
