  • Huxley has announced details of his new label, No Idea's Original, with the first release landing on December 4th. No Idea's Original comes after Michael Dodman's long tenure on UK house institutions like Hypercolour, Tsuba and Aus Music. (Aus Music released his debut album last year.) The label launch follows a quiet 2015 for the English artist, with only one 12-inch hitting shelves so far this year. The three-track What You Want kicks off his new endeavour. It's a collaboration with J.Phlip, one of the core members of the Dirtybird roster. They offer up two originals, while Matrixxman associate Vin Sol steps up for a remix of the title track. "It's called No Idea's Original because I kept getting asked for 'concepts' for things and found it exasperating," Dodman says. "Everything has to have an 'original concept' these days, or so people in the music industry will tell you, and it's bollocks—not least because no idea is original these days. Just putting music out or doing parties because you want to, and are passionate, should be enough." Check out "What You Want" below.
