  • A new gay party called Absolution is launching in Berlin. Absolution is the project of Jonathan Margulies and Gideön Berger. Margulies (who DJs as Jo Nathan) is best known as the founder of defunct Berlin club Tape, while Gideön Berger (also known by his DJ name, Gideön) has spent most of the past decade behind Block9 and NYC Downlow, a popular Glastonbury arena that the festival's site describes as a "film-set replica of a ruined NYC tenement" in which the "murky homo fantasies of The Downlow crew fuse to resurrect New York’s golden age." Margulies and Gideön plan to throw four Absolution parties in Berlin next year, beginning on Sunday, December 27th. Detroit Swindle heads up a lineup that also includes Lakuti, Gideön, Jo Nathan and Josh Caffe, with things due to kick off at 11 PM. Each of the events will be held at a TBA location. Details will be made available at the party's website on the day of each session.
