  • Alter Ego Recordings will release two Alter Ego remixes by Luke Slater, due out on vinyl on Friday, March 4th. Active between 1994 and the mid '00s, Alter Ego is the production alias of German duo Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke. Flügel and Wuttke have recently been reissuing selections from their back catalogue, throwing in the occasional unreleased track or forgotten remix. The label's first vinyl release drops this week, pulling together Luke Slater remixes of "Soulfree" and "Lycra," produced in 1993 and 1994 respectively. As you might expect, both cuts are techno in Slater's typically hard-edged style. You can listen to clips over at Wordandsound. Soulfree / Lycra - The Luke Slater Remixes is also available digitally.
