  • A pair of '90s cuts from Soichi Terada will be reissued as The Far East Transcripts III on Hhatri this spring. While record diggers have long prized the house music Terada released on his own Far East Recording label, it wasn't until last year that the smiling video-game music producer hit the world dance music stage, thanks to Sounds From The Far East, a compilation curated by Hunee and released through Rush Hour. That one topped our top mixes/compilations poll for 2015, and has Terada traveling the world playing live house sets. Both songs appearing on the third volume of London-based label Hhatri's archival series were released in 1991, and neither appeared on the Rush Hour collection. The A-side, "Got To Be Real," reworks Cheryl Lynn's disco classic. Listen to clips over at Pacific Beach Vinyl. Terada used this week's RA Podcast to showcase Japanese house music. Listen to the mix below.
