The team behind the now-closed club will host four shows in the venue's intimate studio throughout the May and June festival.
Goodgod Super Club will present four events at the Sydney Opera House Studio during the Vivid Live festival in May and June.
Originally called Goodgod Small Club, the live music venue and dance club closed last year when the building changed hands. Now the team behind it has been tapped to organize a series of gigs at the Sydney Opera House's smaller concert hall during the 23-day Vivid Live festival. They join a lineup that also includes New Order, Björk and Oneohtrix Point Never.
First up is a gig on May 26th with Syndey veteran Simon Caldwell alongside Bradley Zero, an NTS radio personality and the man behind the much-loved Rhythm Section parties in London. Rinse FM selector and UK bass champ Oneman is up the following night, followed by a set from Detroit young gun Kyle Hall alongside Syndey's Magda Bytnerowicz. New York DJ and producer Joey LaBeija—repping the House of LaBeija and his label Purple Tape Pedigree—will play the closing gig alongside Junglepussy, a rapper also from the Big Apple.
