Marcos Valle, Eric Duncan to appear at Marisco Festival in São Paulo

- Mareh and Rush Hour have teamed up for the inaugural Marisco Festival, set to happen in São Paulo, Brazil on May 14th and 15th. Mareh began as a holiday festival bringing elaborate stages to islands in Bahia, along with DJs like Todd Terje, Greg Wilson, Eric Duncan and other jocks with an encyclopedic knowledge of disco and edits. Over the years, memorable moments at the festival have been scored by Brazilian tunes from the likes of Tropicalia legend Caetano Veloso. The DJs who fly in to Brazil often spend days or weeks digging for these records. As such, Mareh conceived Marisco as a way to place the progenitors of Brazil's funky legacy alongside the DJs who have made it a popular gathering. On the 14th, long-running Brazilian group Azymuth tops the bill, along with Antal, the selector whose Rush Hour enterprise is collaborating on Marisco. Japanese producer Soichi Terada, in the midst of a serious revival thanks to Rush Hour, is also on that bill. On day two, Marcos Valle, the tropical star whose track "Estrelar" is an enduring classic at Mareh events, will perform alongside festival alumni Tim Sweeney, Eric Duncan, Carrot Green and Beats In Space signees Selvagem.
