  • Sonic Foundry are one of the leading software development companies for professional rich media applications for all walks of life. One product in particular is known globally for its sound editing package called Sound Forge which can be used for recording and editing DJ mixes, creating samples and adding effects. Melbourne's Low Frequency Occupation have joined together with Sonic Foundry to offer all the chance to remix their debut single 'Back To You'. The group is made up by brothers Andy and Glen Evans whom combine their live instruments and samples with electronic beats and effects. People who purchase the single, which is available in stores now, will find a verison of Sonic Foundry's Acid application on the CD and after logging onto the Acid Planet Website, you will be able to download the samples for instant remix work. Once you complete your remix, enter the competition on the site where it will prompt you to upload your work and thats all there is to it. The prizes include Acid Pro 4, 5 loop libraries and merchandise from Festival Mushroom Records whom Low Frequency Occupation are signed to. The winner of the competition will see their remix offically released alongside reworkings by Josh Abrahams and Rogue Traders. The contest closes on June 30 so get busy remixing.
