  • Andrew Weatherall has been forced to cancel this weekend's Japan tour. The legendary UK jock announced yesterday that sickness had rendered him unable to travel, releasing this statement:
"It is with great regret that I must announce I am unable to to travel to Japan for my forthcoming gigs. I was taken ill last week and currently awaiting test results from my doctor. I was told that under no circumstances should I fly until I have the results. The decision not to travel is not one that I have taken lightly as my Japanese fans have shown me an incredible level of love and loyalty for the past 25 years. I hope none of this amazing devotion is diminished by my decision."
Weatherall was due to play three shows in Japan, including the headline slot at Rainbow Disco Club which begins on April 29th. Each of the events will be going ahead—the gig at WOMB in Tokyo will now be a "Get Better Andrew!" party headlined by Kompakt artist Hiroshi Watanabe AKA Kaito, while Onenation continues at Namura Zosenjo Atochi / Creative Center Osaka with Maya Jane Coles and Karizma.
