  • Profligate will headline a show at Oakland's Explorer's Club (located inside the Starline Social Club) on June 24th. Profligate, the project of Philadelphia resident Noah Anthony, fits loosely into a group of artists combining dance floor structures with the grimy aesthetic of the US noise scene. He's part of the trio Form A Log with close peers Ren Schofield (AKA Container) and Rick Weaver, and has put out material on labels like Not Not Fun and Unknown Precept, who handled his 2015 EP Extremities. Anthony just launched his own imprint, Abbreviated Regime, with a cassette. You can listen to a couple tracks from that one on his Bandcamp page. Cube and Kerri Lebon are also on the Oakland bill. Tickets to Profligate at the Explorer's Club are available here on RA.
