- Swamp81 will release the LP in June.
Mickey Pearce has an album in the offing.
Michael was originally started as a sequel to 2014's Up West, conceived as a mixtape of loops like its predecessor. But in the process, the UK producer "found himself in new, melancholic territory," and began turning the material into an album. Pearce himself emphasizes how different the new material is, telling radio host Mary Anne Hobbs that it "just sounds like me in August 2015. I haven’t written anything that sounds like it before or since." You can listen to a preview of the album on Hobbs' BBC Radio 6 show here.
Like much of Pearce's recent material, Michael will come via Swamp81.
