- The San Francisco house veteran will bring the series back after six years off.
Mark Farina will release Mushroom Jazz 8 on Pledge Music on July 22nd.
Farina's sound is heavily associated with the San Francisco scene of the '00s, where he combined the house bona fides picked up during his time in Chicago with a jazzier, downtempo aesthetic. The longtime Derrick Carter-affiliate released the first Mushroom Jazz mix in 1996, named after his well-known weekly party. Farina would go on to release seven volumes of Mushroom Jazz via OM Records, all while also getting in the mix for well-established entities such as fabric and United DJs Of America.
