  • ESP Institute has four new EPs on the way. The Los Angeles label run by recent Playing Favorites subject Lovefingers (real name Andrew Hogge) is having a busy year—2016 has already seen seven ESP releases from the likes of Vactrol Park and Benedikt Frey. Close followers of the imprint will note a few familiar faces in the latest round. Klasse co-founder Mr. Ho is back on ESP for another 12-inch collaboration with Heap. The new one's called Feeling Hopeful / Gis Gis and follows the Collision Resistance EP released on Hogge's label earlier in 2016. Damien Lynch is also back with a second ESP offering. The label says the title track on that one, Brunette, was "composed solely with a rare '70s Italian machine, the Godwin Drummaker 32, unearthed from the secret backroom of a music shop in rural Ireland." There are also a couple of new signings. Mexico City-based producer Man Power will make his ESP debut following an album for Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant as well as records for Throne Of Blood and Hivern. Lovefingers has also signed up Berlin-based newcomer Juan Ramos. Listen to samples from all four releases.
