De School announces new party series with last-minute lineups

- De Zomernacht—which aims to inject some spontaneity into summer clubbing—will run across July and August.
- The team behind Amsterdam club De School has announced a new party series called De Zomernacht. De Zomernacht will operate slightly differently to a typical event series, with De School only revealing some of the names playing at each party, and at late notice. "We want to bring back the feeling of spontaneity and excitement and the summer period is the perfect time to do so," says creative director Kyara Van Loenen. "When you hear a couple of hours before a club night that one of your favourite DJs is playing here and you hop on your bike with a couple of friends, you'll enter the club with a completely different mind-set than when you've bought tickets for an event months in advance." Naturally, no DJs have been announced for De Zomernacht. The series begins on Friday, July 1st and runs until August 28th. De School will tease lineups via a number of channels, including Facebook and Instagram. In other De School news, organisers have revealed that a new bar has been installed in the club's garden area for summer. Tickets to De Zomernacht will be available here on RA from 12 PM (CET) on Friday, June 3rd.
