  • Electronic music artists are backing the remain vote ahead of Britain's EU referendum on June 23rd. The referendum will see voters decide whether Britain leaves or remains in the EU. A wide range of artists, including Four Tet, Midland, Eclair Fifi, Max D, Throwing Shade, Modeselektor, Erol Alkan and Seth Troxler, took to Twitter to back the remain vote. Others, like JD Twitch and Joy Orbison, updated their Facebook profile photos to read "EU!", riffing on the logo of krautrock outfit Neu!. Independent labels, shops and radio stations like Domino, Rough Trade, NTS Radio, Berlin Community Radio, LuckyMe and YoungTurks also threw their weight behind remain, as did Glastonbury. Brian Eno, meanwhile, took to Facebook this week to write: "I have a lot of misgivings about the way the E.U. is run, but they don't make me want to ditch the whole idea. I feel the E.U. is one of the only restraints on the kind of neo-liberal market fundamentalism that has seen inequality rising throughout the world."
