  • Pixelord will release a new album, Human.exe, on September 9th. The Russian artist, born Alexey Devyanin—and also known as Computer Graphics—is at the forefront of a multi-genre scene in Russia that encompasses footwork, garage, grime, dubstep and other strains of bass music. He's a prolific artist, racking up releases on imprints like Leisure System, Error Broadcast and Civil Music. He also runs his own Hyperboloid imprint, which will handle the release of Human.exe, and also put out his debut LP, 2015's Places. The label says the new one comprises "soundscapes of a dystopian future" and was inspired by classic IDM work from the likes of Aphex Twin, Mark Pritchard and Clark. "Human.exe is about a robot who wants to be a human but still he is a program, exe file," Devyanin says. "The video will be about this particular robot too. My music was always retro futuristic and nostalgic about old computers and systems, this time as well .exe is the reference to my childhood, IDM music, DOS programs and cyber romanticism." Tracklist 01. Gear Soul 02. Operator 03. Chrome Tears 04. Machina 05. Robo 06. Telepathic 07. Metal Mutant 08. Fix Me 09. Escape 10. Exo Club 11. Axis 12. Human 10 Hyperboloid will release Human.exe on September 9th, 2016.
