Peder Mannerfelt and Elysia Crampton are also locked in for the November event in Berlin.
The second edition of the German DAW manufacturer's three-day event will explore the "cutting edge of music, technology and creative practice" at Berlin's Funkhaus complex this November 4th through 6th. Combining presentations, demonstrations, workshops and performances, Loop will host veteran producers and musicians from various fields including American modular synthesis pioneer Suzanne Ciani, Moritz von Oswald and Lee "Scratch" Perry. Ciani is delivering a "performative presentation," while Perry will contribute a live performance and an on-stage conversation.
Von Oswald will speak to Philip Sherburne about using the studio as an instrument. Younger artists involved in the summit include Peder Mannerfelt, Chino Amobi, Elysia Crampton and Daedelus while discussions on machine learning, field recording and open-source software are also scheduled.
To attend Loop, you need to register at the Ableton website.
