- Music For Downers is hosting the two artists later this month.
DJ Stingray and Varg are the guests at a Music For Downers party in Chicago on Saturday, August 20th.
Music For Downers is an artist collective and label dedicated to disseminating a wide range of experimental music. They've been putting out tapes since 2013, and lately have thrown parties with artists like Silent Servant, Beau Wanzer, John Wiese and Body Of Light. This one, taking place at their recent go-to haunt Club Rectum, will feature a set on the decks from cult Detroit electro artist Stingray. Varg, a Swedish producer and key part of Stockholm's well-regarded techno and experimental label Northern Electronics, will play live. Local support will come from Johann Moon from Music For Downers (playing live) and Taelue, who helps run the deep house imprint Perpetual Rhythms.
