  • Melodies International is reissuing three singles from Aged In Harmony. Floating Points, AKA Sam Shepherd, launched the Eglo sublabel last year, and works with his friends DJ Love On The Run, Mafalda and Javybz to present loving reissues of some of their favourite rare records. "You're A Melody" surely figures near the top of that list—as revealed in a 2015 RA interview with Shepherd, the record dealer he got it from "had only seen one other copy in 40 years." Shepherd also named his Plastic People night after the song. "You're A Melody" came from a Detroit-based group called Aged In Harmony, led by Arnold Moore. They only ever released three privately-pressed 7-inches, all of which are the subject of this latest package on Melodies International. The songs were written and arranged by Moore, and the label says they "bring together strings, vocals, guitars, synths, horns and drums for the perfect marriage of textures." All three come as a set, along with a new edition of the label's Melozine, featuring an interview with Moore among other content. Take a listen to "You're A Melody."
